STOP BATTLING WITH YOUR TEENAGER!
ENABLE PARENTAL CONTROLS ON THEIR IPHONE.
It’s your phone- you probably bought it and pay the monthly bill. Stop thinking you are invading their privacy- YOU ARE PROTECTING THEM.
iPhones are designed to keep kids hooked.
And kids don’t yet have the brain development to regulate that on their own.
So this isn’t about control.
It’s about protection.
Sleep disruption, mood changes, anxiety, constant distraction—
I see this every day!
Most parents don’t realize how easy it is to step in.
Everything you need is already built into the iPhone.
Go to settings on your iphone/family/your child’s iphone:
Settings → Screen Time
Look at:
How many hours they’re on
What apps they’re using
Whether they’re on late at night
Don’t guess—look!
Then set a few boundaries:
Go to:
Screen Time → Downtime
Set hours (for example, 9PM–7AM)
2. Limit social media + gaming
Go to:
Screen Time → App Limits
Choose the apps and set a daily time
3. Control access and content
Go to:
Screen Time → Content & Privacy
From here you can:
Block certain apps
Restrict websites
Control downloads
One step most parents miss – set a passcode in Screen Time.
If you don’t do this, your child can change everything.
The goal: You’re not trying to control your child forever.
You’re helping them build:
It’s your responsibility to guide how it’s used.
